Whats up with Kinsler so far --no power or speed. Any theories --ankle still bothering him? Any projections going forward?

I read some comments Kinsler made recently about his ankle and base stealing and he admitted it was a work in progress this year and that he's obviously not at 100%. I assume he'll improve as the season goes on, but no Kinsler owners, which includes me, can expect to get the SB production we got out of him last year.

I was going to post something similar. He has apparently decided to hit for BA instead of power, choosing to go opposite field which "makes me a better hitter", according to him. His ankle is going to restrict his SBs far more than I was expecting when I drafted him as the severity of the injury wasn't fully apparent then.
All in all, it was probably not a good year to draft him though he won't be a total bust.

Thanks for the info --sounds little worse than I expected. I know ankle injuries can linger but I was hoping for big 2nd half. I just traded for him (probably gave up to much) traded Billingsley who burnt me 2nd half last yr and K.Johnson who I drafted but dont expect much from him 2nd half. Kinsler should at least give me runs and steady stream of ribbies.

Absolutely. I'm still glad I've got him. I'll just need someone else to step up accordingly.
