WHIR!!! Heyward/Kinsler for Wainwright/Utley

Hey,

I will help in return for any legit responses. Just post a link to your question after your answer so I can find it easily.

I have an offer in my keeper league for the following:

I get: Heyward (would cost a 7th round pick next year) and Kinsler (would cost a 1st round pick next year)
I give: Utley (1st round pick next year) and Wainwright (2nd round pick next year)

I have a decent outfield but Heyward would definitely improve it (Rios, Pence, Gardner, Ludwick) and losing Wainwright would hurt my pitching but I do have some other good pitchers (Price, Gallardo, Hudson, Niemann, Latos, Matusz, G. Gonzalez)

For a point of reference, I am in a 12 team mixed league, head-to-head matchups.

What do you think... am I giving up too much this year in exchange for getting Heyward as a solid keeper next year? Is Kinsler close enough to Utley to make this trade worth it for this year as well?

I'd rather have Utley and Wainwright. Kinsler isn't worth a first round pick so the value you gain in getting Heyward is lost in Kinsler.

I wouldn't take that deal...

2B is way more shallow than OF or SP in fantasy, so having an edge there is big, and Utley is the best 2B in all of baseball (although he doesn't look like it right now). Kinsler is way down this year, and I don't think he's exactly a buy-low, def. not worth giving up Wainwright.

How do the keeper rules in your league work. Will Heyward always be a 7th round pick or does his cost increase every year?

I think I would still like to have Utley and Wainwright. Kinsler is a little troublesome for me with a 1st round pick since, he is always injured and even when healthy he is not the player that Utley is.

Heyward is attractive for sure, but I just don't think the price you are paying to have him is worth it.

I like the Utley side. Kinsler is a walking DL trip.

I agree with everyone...I had kinsler last season and chose not to keep him this year and I am glad I didn't as he is a walking DL issue. Also, you would be giving up way more than you need to and Utley is better than Kinsler, especially if you would be losing your 1st round pick either way...Wainwright is better than Heyward...If you wanted Heywardm try dealing someone like Hudson for him or even Latos, while there stock is high. Hudson is horrible in the 2nd half.
