Justin Smoak?

I'm just curious if you think he's worth picking up in a one year league. Will his stats (mainly BA) turn around?

With Morales crazy injury, I need a decent replacement at 1B and assumed Smoak had the most upside.

In a one year I would look for someone like Huff over Smoak. If thats all thats available though then I guess you could do worse.

Huff is gone already.

It's a 16 team league, so waivers are pretty bare.

Justin Smoak
Ike Davis
Eric Hinske
Lyle Overbay
Adam Rosales
Mike Sweeney
Russell Branyan
Casey Kotchman
Conor Jackson
Jeff Clement
Nick Johnson
Matt Laporta
Hank Blalock

As you can see, there isn't much use on waivers right now. My current 1B is Derick Lee who is also injury prone. I was looking at Smoak or Davis because of potential.

Since I did not do before here is my team.

C - Russell Martin, Yadier Molina
1B - Kendry Morales (DL), Derick Lee
2B - Ian Stewart (3B), Ried Brignac (SS)
3B - Adrian Beltre
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Ryan Braun, Matt Kemp, Nick Markakis, Seth Smith

SP - Josh Johnson, Roy Oswalt, Ricky Romero, Randy Wells, Brad Penny, Wandy Rodriguez, Aaron Harang, Joe Saunders, Aroldis Chapman, Chris Young (DL)

RP - David Aardsma, Trevor Hoffman, Daniel Bard, CJ Wilson (SP)

- I tried trading one of my OF, but just wasent getting a decent offer.
- Probably looking to unload a starter as well.

both Smoak and Davis have good potential...for right now, in a 1 yr league...Davis seems to have figure dit out a little faster, so why wait to see if Smoak finds it too? take Davis...I have the tougher decision of what to do with Smoak in a keeper league....:0
