By no means am I saying that is going to be the deciding factor that keeps him out. I am just saying he lacks every intangible. All he is going to have is power numbers. No glove, no average, no speed, nothing else that stands out. To be a HOFer you need several aspects of your game to be elite, and I was just using an example to show that 500 HRs is ALMOST enough to get you into the HOF. 500 HRs with any sort of intangibles would probably be enough. Whether the intangibles are a .290 avg, 250 SBs, World Series rings, gold gloves etc. He lacks all of the above, and being one-dimensional, even to the point of 500 HRs will not be enough. I can't believe how many people are dissecting my comment...
