Bottom two teams have started firesales. Been verbally offered Wainwright for Leake by one team and Panda with Kuroda for Chapman and probably Brad Lincoln. I think this makes my team unstoppable but none of the new guys are eligible to keep and leaves us with slim pickings for keepers next year. What are the usual thoughts on winning now even when mortgaging the future? Definitely need some thoughts and WHIR.

If you think the moves put you in a great position to win, I see no reason not to do them (particularly the first one.) We play to win, or atleast I do. Funny how some guys always seem content to have to hottest collection of prospects and sleepers and finish in the middle of the pack every year. I made some similar future-sacrificing moves in my hockey league this year and it definitely contributed to my money league victory.
