Qualls or Gregg. who would you rather have for the rest of the season?

Yikes...I'd rather kill myself. I feel like Toronto has more guys that can threaten Gregg if he falters, and he's shown signs of faltering for the last 3 years as a closer. Qualls isn't much better, but at least he was promising last year when he was healthy, Gutierrez hasn't been much better this year, and the notion of Heilman as a closer in Arizona is a joke, so I'd take Qualls but I woudn't feel good about my life.

wow, guess I'm seeing a different pitcher than you guys. Gregg is tied for 5th in all of BB with 13 saves and don't really see him losing the job anytime soon. He doesn't have a great track record of going the entire year with the job, but for now I'm real happy with him as my 2nd closer

He has been pretty solid so far, but I see him with one save against Boston, one save against TB, and zero against the Yankees...I don't know how much faith I'd have in him if he went into the 9th against the 3-4-5 hitters of those lineups...he just makes me nervous in the AL East (Not that Qualls doesn't have me reaching for the Pepto Bismol though)

Both scare me but I think Qualls is going to lose his job in the next month. Hinch has hinted at going to a closer by committee for the last couple of weeks.

I trust Gregg more than Qualls, though I hope this is for your number 2 closer spot
