They interviewed him on the radio this morning and I have never heard anyone get less respect than this guy. The interviewer came just short of accusing him of juicing. Bautista claims that it is all due to getting regular playing time. The interviewer pointed out that he had almost 1,000 AB over 2 seasons in Pitt and averaged 15 HR per year. Bautista then attributed it to being more patient at the plate.

I hope you are saying this just to get a response. There is no way, short of an injury, that he only hits 20 home runs. Unless he gets the short end of the Travis Snyder stick, he'll get plenty of playing time.

It's not like he's come out of nowhere. He hit 10 homers in August/September last year once he got consistent playing time and crushed the ball during spring training. Sometimes it just takes a while for players to realize their full potential. I'm not saying he'll hit 40 homers, I just wouldn't be shocked if he hit 30-35.
