Trade for Hanley or RP?

Postby socceryank » Sun May 30, 2010 9:35 pm

As you see from my team below, I have a plethora of OF's that I can move to improve my team. Initially, I was thinking of trading for a top-tier RP, but the owner of Hanley has expressed an interest in trading him for SP.

My thoughts:
1. I don't really need Hanley, as my team has a good bit of power already; however, it is always tempting to trade for one of the top fantasy players in the game.

2. Definitely need RP help, but would only consider trading for a top tier closer, but I hate trading everyday players for pitching, especially the crapshoot involved with RP.

What would you guys recommend? Currently sitting 7th out of 10 in a H2H league, which seems totally unfair for this team!

10 team, H2H, redraft, 5x5 with OPS instead of avg.

If you can get Hanley for a SP (any SP), do the trade immediately. Alex Gonzalez is not going to continue putting these numbers up, I think you should absolutely try to acquire Hanley especially if you can get him for pitching

I don't think it would be a straight up trade, I think it would involve a SP and an OF for Hanley. What kind of package would you be willing to offer?

His team:
C Posada/Cervelli
1B Morneau
2B Pedroia
3B Figgins
SS Hanley
OF Crawford, Wells, Soriano, Markakis, Manny Ramirez
Util Ortiz
SP Greinke, Lackey, Hanson, Pavano, Porcello, ESantana, Kawakami, Strasburg
RP Fuentes, Rauch, Lidge

2B Uggla
3B Zimmermann
SS Jeter
OF J Upton, McCutcheon, Choo
Util Kendrys Morales

SP Gallardo, Bumgarner, Latos, Zimmermann, Luebke, Jaime Garcia, Hughes, Burnett
RP League, Marshall, Betancourt
