why do you want to keep starters for long term? I understand keeping your studs but In an 8 team league you could spot start pitchers easily and keep your better pitchers on the roster. You need to play an active role on your team if you want to get out of your 2-6 hole. nothing wrong with picking up a pitcher or 2 each week and keeping your studs in each week.

Well I dropped Lopez for Bautista. Derek Holland is now injured, and he may not pitch this week. So I may have to find a replacement for him. Some available SP FA's: Marcum, Silva, Latos, Garcia, E Santana, Fister, Richard, Pavano, Vargas, Moyer, etc. I could just keep him, even if he doesn't start. I have 11 SP this wee, 4 two starts. I'd still have 10 starts even if he doesnt play.

I would take Pavano and garcia over Holland. I would also consider taking John Ely in as well becuase I imagine he is available and he gives you 2 starts this week.
