How much can I get for Matt Capps? WHIR

Postby waltb87 » Sun May 30, 2010 12:03 pm

I figured I can sell him high right now since he is leading the league in saves for now...like can I get a Cliff Lee or a Johan Satana or could I get the likes of a Ryan Dempster and a Francisco Liriano?

Here is my roster:
Team B - ESPN FBaseball - Standard stats, Rotisserie, 10 teams

C- Victor Martinez
1B- Albert Pujols
2B- Dan Uggla
3B - Kevin Youkilis
SS- Alexei Ramirez
OF - Matt Holliday , Jayson Werth, Raul Ibanez, Alfonso Soriano, Austin Jackson
UTIL - Ryan Howard, David Ortiz

SP - Chris Carpenter, Javy Vazquez, John Lackey, Jake Peavy, Zack Greinke, Roy Oswalt
RP - Matt Capps, Andrew Bailey, Brian Fuentes
BN - Derek Lee, Michael Bourn, Aaron Hill
DL - Huston Street

Your starting pitching actually looks solid. I don't someone would give up Cliff Lee or Santana for Capps, Liriano is a possibility. That would leave your relievers pretty shaky though with only Andrew Bailey as a sure thing. I would instead try to trade Capps for an under performing solid reliever like Billy Wagner.

Would appreciate your help on mine: viewtopic.php?t=413388

I think you'll be disappointed if you think you can get those kind of aces; look for a team hurting in saves and try for 1 of their SP's. It could be he does you as much good as anything you'll be able to get

I really wasn't sure how much i could get for a good closer..i guess i should keep him because he is my solid source of saves and street will definitely help when he comes back

If there are any unowned closers in your league, than Capps value decreases. Why trade for saves when you can add them?
