I mean come on, he bats fourth behind Pujols and he has more runs scored than RBIs? Ridiculous.
I want my second round pick back.
Maybe he's become a bit of a slow starter. For his career, his post-ASB numbers are substantially better than pre-ASB:
G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
510 1935 303 605 139 15 71 299 184 355 43 14 .313 .379 .510 .889
391 1482 296 477 101 11 86 312 155 281 40 11 .322 .394 .579 .973
in 119 less games post-ASB, he has just 7 fewer runs, 5 more HRs, and 13 more RBIs. Further, he has a +.009 difference in AVG, +.069 difference in SLG, and a +.084 difference in OPS. Holliday owners who were patient last season reaped the rewards, and I believe that will be the case this season. He hasn't been great so far by any means, but he hasn't been awful, either. I think he'll come around.
I actually am trying to buy low on him in all of my leagues.
