People said the same thing last year

OF Adam Lind

He was overrated before the start of the season and he's even more overrated now

Last year Quentin struggled all year with Plantar fasciitis which actually was hampering his swing. Historically he has a low babip (.256), but even if he restores his awful .220 line to his career norms you're looking at some good numbers. We all know he can mash and he started last night with 2 hits and a HR.

Same with Lind, he has a track record in the minors and the talent to back it up. He's hitting behind Aaron Hill right now which is really hindering his RBI opportunities and he's striking out a bit much. He's also not getting very lucky (.250 something BABIP with a career BABIP of .309). He'll start mashing again soon. I can see the Quentin argument because of his injury issues, even though you actually didn't even make an argument, just a general statement that really doesn't articulate anything. But good luck with your reasoning anyhow. Personally I'll be looking to trade for a few of the guys on this list. And I'm pretty sure you can bank on Lind.

Quentin struggles with injuries every year

He was hurt in 2006, 2007, 2009 and in 2008 he broke his wrist at the end of August

But if you wanna buy low, go on

Very true, although I might point out that the wrist thing was obviously a freak accident. His injury problems are well documented, as I have already said. My point is that there's no way that a healthy Quentin keeps slugging .370 and BABIP'ing .220. I don't think you can argue that. As for the injuries, he is a bit more prone than others but I'll take the risk with his upside.

A lot of people are saying Gordon Beckham as a buy and I agree.

As if on cue, Quentin goes 2-4 with a jack on Saturday and Lind homers in the 1st tonight... It's going to be fun bumping this thread all year long.

I just traded J. Cantu to get L. Berkman. I figure it's a great low risk/high reward/buy low situation since Cantu was just sitting on my bench. Here's hoping Berkman finds his stroke! :)

Choo is in a little bit of a slump. I'm trying to buy him right now.

Well, he's only owned in 43% of Yahoo leagues and started in 21%, so you probably won't have to give up much more than your worst player to get him.
