Posey does not have better minor league numbers than Wieters and both of them started their pro career in 08 so what are you talking about?

Considering he only has 2 strike outs and eleven hits, I would say don't worry about it at all.

Will he actually play C this year and in the future? I see Eli Whiteside getting the BUC starts so far. I'm starting to get worried that he's not actually going to have C eligibility at the start of next year, or (even worse for fantasy) that the Giants will make him a long-term 1B...

He's not going to be a 1Bman long-term because of Eli Whiteside and I can't think of another catcher in their system. I'm guessing as far as this year is concerned he'll get the catcher starts later in the season when he has adjusted to majors and will have spent some time catching bullpen sessions of a couple of the starters. He might not get 20 starts at catcher if that is your league setup though.

I dropped last year's much-hyper C - Wieters - and picked up this year's model. One day in the lineup and I've gotten more from Posey today than I did from Wieters over the last couple of weeks!

I'm just thrilled that they're finding spots for him in the lineup. The C eligibility is sweet right now, as he's hitting for great average, which you don't normally see out of that spot. Very happy owner here, so far.
