Thorton. Hoffman just looks finished and the Sox need to do anything they can to get to their winning ways - that could mean Thorton as a full time closer all year.

It has to be Thorton. Hoffman does look just about done. All the Brewers are trying to do is get this guy to 600 and save face.

Thorton is a stud and it looks like Ozzie will be leaning towards him from now on. Even if not, if the White Sox keep struggling, Jenks maybe dangled as a trade chip allowing Thorton to assume the role as closer. Even if he doesn't lock up the job right away, at least you will be able to enjoy his periphial numbers, whereas even if Hoffman gets another crack at the job, I don't forsee his bloated ERA and WHIP disappearing anytime soon.

For saves only, I think there is a better chance Hoffman will get more saves from here on out. All other categories, Thornton by a long way. Should know within a week whether Hoffman is going to be a good closer, or if he's done. He's getting his last chance.
