According to Rotowire he could be penciled in as the starter for Sunday's game against the A's. Galaraga (the scheduled starter) pitched in relief on Friday. Any predictions as to what to expect going forward now that he's done some tweaking and added velocity to his fastball?

Mad Max seems to have fixed his mechanical issues in AAA and could be a fantasy beast the rest of the season. I am curious what others have to say as I need to decide between him or Ian Kennedy.

A fantasy beast

Has he suddenly become a dIfferent pitcher ? Max has never been a beast even during his outstanding rookie season when he didn't win a game.
Scherzer is definitely worth a look in standard mixed leagues but I wouldn't expect anything more than last years numbers which apart from his k/9 were only so so.

12 K through 5 IP today so far.
I guess my question is: why isn't the pitching coach for Toledo the pitching coach for Detroit? That's one hell of a 'tweak' he made...

And his day is done... 14 Ks through 5.2 but he was also very wild walking 4 and hitting 1.
Pretty crazy, 14 of 17 outs via strikeout, kinda reminds me of his first relief appearance his rookie year.

One walk and the HBP were with 2 Outs in the 6th. Kouzmanoff had a great AB and elevated his pitch count and Max over extended himself trying to get a K in the next AB. He did hit 98 on the gun with his last pitch in a 3-2 count. Then in the following AB hit the batter with his first pitch.
