Okay I traded Miggy yesterday and today he went out and hit 3 HR's. I was pretty happy with what I got out of the deal last night. I know the guy isn't going to keep up a 4.0 fp/g pace but damn I need some reassurance lol. We play in a 12 team FP keeper league we get 40 pts to spend on keepers. I'm rebuilding at this point and gathering top notch pitching prospects to keep or flip for young SP's in the bigs.
Traded
Miguel Cabrera
Brett Lawrie
Chase Headley
Zach Britton
Matt Thornton
Received
Kendry Morales
Yonder Alonso
Desmond Jennings
Jenrry Mejia
Kyle Gibson
Mike Montgomery
So basically it was Miggy for the 6 players I got plus my cuts.

Yeah I agree that's sort of the hope. Once Jennings gets past his nagging injuries he could be up making a impact for the Rays. Gibson and Montgomery are destroying the competition in AA. I think Kendry is a suitable replacement for now. Normally Miggy would be around a 3.0-3.3 player. That's only .2 off of what Kendry has been doing the past two years. Now if Miggy keeps up this crazy 4.1 fp/g he has going it's a little harder for the kids to cover. But if he comes back to about his normal I think it was a great deal for me. I see it as taking a small step backwards with a possibility of 3 or 4 steps forward if the kids turnout or if I flip them for major league SP talent.

This is one of those trades where you are not going to know the outcome for much longer than a week or two. You had a strategy which involves a lot of upside and you reasoning makes sense (plus I also happen to like K. Morales a lot), so I wouldn't let one monster game by Miggy change your mind.
Good luck...and thanks for help on mine.
