So, we should all look through all the different posts and vote for the best lineups - maybe vote for top 3. I don't have time right now, but will give this some thought later.
I've always thought about these things. havne't posted around here in a while so a good return type post.
11 man league two UTIL slots. Main league:
6 Jose Reyes 5 Michael Young 9 Matt Kemp 3 Lance Berkman...false trust? 0 Chipper Jones 7 Alfonso Soriano 2 John Jaso/Carlos Santana 8 BJ Upton 4 Kelly Johnson (Brian Roberts on the DL)
Rotation: Lincecum, Oswalt, B. Anderson, Haren, Hamels Longman: Penny, Lilly MR: Dotel SU: Street, M. Thornton CL: R. Soriano
Bench: Jay Bruce, Adrian Beltre I trust Chipper a lot more than I should perhaps, but i think the man's still a legitimate hitter. I have Bruce and Beltre in over him right now at UTIL in real life, but I would start Chipper if this was a real team.
12 man league in my fraternity (one util) where I've pillaged people in trades.
8 Andrew McCutchen 9 Nick Markakis 3 Albert Pujols 0 Jason Bay 6 Troy Tulowitzki 5 Mark Reynolds 4 Brandon Phillips 2 Kurt Suzuki 7 Jacoby Ellsbury
Bench: Aramis Ramirez, Hunter Pence, Lance Berkman, Carlos Beltran Rotation: Wainwright, C. Lee, Lester, Beckett, B. Anderson Longman: Marcum MR: Hoffman, Contreras, Villanueva SU: Kuo, Marmol CL: Wagner

10-team league ($50 entry, keep one hitter and one pitcher)
1. Hanley Ramirez, SS 2. Robinson Cano, 2B 3. Adrian Gonzalez, 1B 4. Nelson Cruz, OF 5. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B 6. Billy Butler, DH 7. Torii Hunter, OF 8. Carlos Gonzalez, OF 9. Kurt Suzuki, C
12-team keeper, 25 man rosters. Best team I've ever had, and WAY out in front:
1 - Jeter (R) 2 - CarGo (L) 3 - M. Cabrera (R) 4 - B. Butler (R) 5 - T. Hunter (R) 6 - Posada (S) 7 - B. Phillips (R) 8 - Pence (R)/BJ Upton (R) 9 - Headley (S)/Callaspo (S)
Would probably slot Cervelli (or call up Santana) into the 8 or 9 hole until Posada comes back, moving others up. I've got some nice flexibility at the bottom of the lineup. A little bit R heavy, but still a pretty tough lineup!
But my rotation would carry me:
Lincecum (R) Liriano (L) J. Johnson (R) Garcia (L) Hudson (R)
Setup: Soria (R) CL: Soriano (R)
With Holland (L) and Strasburg (R) ready to be slotted in for Sept. starts or middle relief to shorten the game.
