#2 Waiver on Kerry Wood?

I could really use another closer. I picked up Matt Thornton a few weeks ago thinking it was only a matter of time before he took over for Jenks. Now it looks like Jenks has a firm hold once again. So should I drop Thornton for Kerry Wood who was recently let go? Is he worth the #2 waiver claim? Chris Perez is also available.

Definitely not worth a #2 claim. Is it even likely that he would be claimed by someone else in a 10-team league given his numbers? I'm guessing no. I'd wait and see how the situation in Cleveland shakes out before taking a look at either Wood or Perez. FWIW, Wood is available in my 12-team league.
