Offered Verlander for Felix/Nolasco WHIR

Postby Bjorne Greece » Wed May 26, 2010 11:13 am

I was offered Justin Verlander for the combination of Felix Hernandez and Ricky Nolasco and thought I may as well throw the question out there - do it? I'm leaning against it because if Felix and Ricky get things straightened out then they'll both be excellent. On the other hand, neither one is doing anything special so far this year.

I am keeping Felix and Nolasco. Verlander has been very good, but I would like the depth. Felix's WHIP is a little ugly, but other than that one performance against the LAA he has been very solid. I don't believe that Verlander will really out perform Felix the rest of the way. Especially not enough to have you throw in Nolasco. Nolasco had a ton of preseason hype and has not lived up to it, but I still like him as a decent 2/3 tier guy.

Keep what you have.

Taking that would be the fantasy baseball equivalent of rape.
