Lincecum and ARam for Rivera and Zimmerman

Postby The_Idiot » Tue May 25, 2010 7:21 pm

I get Tim Lincecum and Aramis Ramirez
I give Mariano Rivera and Ryan Zimmerman

I have pretty much punted saves as I have only Rivera and Corpas and am 8 saves from even getting out of the basement. If I trade Zimmerman, I would move Ramirez or Lopez into my line-up.

Another stud pitcher could really help.

Oh ok,

So, realistically speaking, it's kind of a Lincecum and Aram for Zimmerman deal. The only thing that worries me is how you're going to find 3B production until/if Aram returns to form. Looking at your offense, however, it seems as if you can gut that wait out with some thrifty matchups and such. If Aram starts to produce again, you would then not be losing much production out of that three hole by giving up Zimmerman. Lincecum is definitely worth that.

I know I'm not even considering Rivera, but it doesn't sound like you are either. I'd take the deal and strive for league average production out of your 3B slot until ARam gives you closure (one way or the other...)

I would take the deal and walk. One thing I like doing when punting saves is to try to find the next closer and grab them before anyone else does, and trade them (Note: this only works in a league where every closer is taken).

Help with mine:
