In a redraft 12-team H2H league with OPS in and no BA, is Ian Desmond a dropper if you need another reliever?

I have Drew at SS, Phillips at 2B, and Beckham on the pine. SS has been so thin that Desmond's slow run towards 12/12 actually seems worthwhile.

FA pitchers include Derek Holland, Evan Meek (holds count), and others. Strategically, I've got 6 reliever slots, and I'm playing 4 closers and 1 holds guy. One slot's blank each day.

Thanks.

Quentin is my third and final bench hitter, and I would definitely listen if people think I should drop him instead of Desmond for the pitcher I'd like to add.

Thank you.

You have to think Quentin will start hitting sooner or later, and he's had a .343 average over the past 9 games. I think the RBI's will come. Ian Desmond, I worry about. He's 0-8 in two games against BALTIMORE, who's pitching is nothing short of horrific. As for whether or not to make the drop... if a trade would be giving up too much, then go for the drop. I don't think bench position players are that valuable anyway.

Thanks for your help.
I might actually consider shopping Beckham around for a reliever. His performance has been so poor that I doubt anyone will consider him of value, but it's worth a shot. If that doesn't work, I actually would advise cutting Beckham over Desmond, as heretical as that may sound. I have serious concerns about him ever rebounding from his current slump. However, if you can't bring yourself to part with him then definitely oust Desmond.

I bought Beckham so cheaply, so cheaply that I don't think I'm wasting much more than a roster spot on him. I do appreciate the suggestion, but I strongly suspect he's mine all year.

I keep pausing on punting Desmond because Quentin is most easily replaced player of the 3: having 2 bench M-INF fliers makes some sense, but the OF is easier to replace.

You can see the circles my thoughts are lost in, no? Quentin's 2008 is farther and farther behind us, but he's been so unlucky so far this year.

Beckham may be starting to turn it around ... I would consider dumping Desmond because he will have his ups and downs that, to me, erode his value a bit in H2H leagues...

thanks for the help on mine, I think with Drew as your SS Desmond wont be too much of a loss. And Meek has been dynamite in the holds category, with also chipping in with some saves. Go for it.

If Holland is out there too, he wouldn't be a bad grab.

WHo else is on the wire?
You might see about packaging Desmond with one of your RP or SP to get one upgraded guy.
