Which of my starting pitchers should I try to trade? (WHIR)

Postby krunchyfrogg » Tue May 25, 2010 8:50 am

He guys, I'm in a 9 team roto league where there's an IP limit. When I had four SP's, I was right about on pace for the IP limit, but a few weeks ago, I added a 5th SP and now I'm on pace for 25 (or so) more IP than allowed.

I'd like to trade a SP, and get either another closer (even with three closers, I'm below average in saves), or a fourth OF to fill in when one of my OF'ers are slumping or have off-days (I have two 1B's on my roster, and my 2B, 3B, and SS will only sit out on off-days, and the only good Catcher available on the WW is Mike Napoli).

If I can't pull off a trade, my "worst case scenario" involves me dropping a SP to activate Granderson in about a week or 10 days. Which SP do I drop then?

TIA, WHIR.
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!

I would bench/drop Vasquez as even if he turns it around he is still your 5th best starter.

In a 9 team, roto league there should be tons of good pitching on the WW if someone gets injured.

yeah, in a 9 team league there should be plenty of depth available on the wire. Vasquez is the one to go.

Damn. I picked up Vazquez because of the K's. I'm middle of the road in that category and I was hoping to pick up some.

I'll get to those links soon.
