This guy steadfastly has been holding onto AGon for quite some time now, and to top it off, I'm a huge Phillies fan.
Here's my roster and league specs:
12-team, H2H, 6x6 league (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG., OPS. for hitters, and W, SV, K, Holds, ERA, WHIP for pitchers).
Keeper league, we keep 4:
C - Geovany Soto 1B - Ryan Howard 2B - Chase Utley 3B - Michael Young SS - Troy Tulowitzki OF - Shane Victorino OF - Nick Markakis OF - Brett Gardner Util - Paul Konerko B - Jay Bruce B - Mike Aviles B - Carlos Santana DL - Jacoby Ellsbury
SP - Dan Haren, Clayton Kershaw, Jonathan Sánchez, Clay Buchholz, Jhoulys Chacin, John Ely RP - Ryan Franklin, David Aardsma, Jon Rauch, Kevin Gregg DL - Brandon Webb, Brad Lidge
I'd hate to see Howard go, but AGon is good, too. So I guess it boils down to: does Tommy Hanson cover the gap between Gonzalez and Howard?
i think this deal makes sense for you... I'd hate giving up Howard but A-Gonz gives you similar production and Hanson is an ace who you could really use
5x5 H2H, NK 10 teams C- JP 1B- Voto 2B- Zobri 3B- ARam SS- Rolins OF- J. Uptn, Choo, A. Gordn UTIL- Fielder BN- C. Crawfrd SP- Hamls, Bumgarner, Galardo, I. Kenedy, Fister, Kurda, Minr, Dempstr, Burnet, Ogando RP- Cishek, Veras, Parnel
I'd reccomend you stand pat with Howard. You really do not seem all that much improved with the addition of hanson, and untill Gonzalez gets traded (if her gets traded), Howard will be the far superior fantasy value.
Your team reminds me of a guy in my league stacked with Dodgers, but you got the better of the Phils so I say evaluate the deal overall and then make a sound decision. Howard is probably the top homer/rbi guy in the game and you will be losing BI for Agonzo, but you will also be gaining a solid SP in Hanson. Is this a keeper league? Are all the players in the deal keeper eligible?
I completely agree. It is a no-brainer for me. AGonz is not too far below Howard and Hanson is a very good SP...easily enough to make up that gap. I think your homerism may be clouding your view

Totally agree, I know you love the Phils, but this is a great offer that you can't pass on.
