Lovin it till then I guess.
I think if they are contending they will let his cap go a little more and bring up another starter to have Latos go every 6 or 7 days instead of 5.

having him pitch past maybe 150 innings could be detrimental to his development imo. id rather they just sit him and be careful and then let him lose around 180-200 next season... just me personally

And that's exactly what I fear will happen with him. It's the right thing to do.
That's why I'm looking to maybe move him in a couple months.

yeah im kinda hoping this happens since i have him in my main dynasty league. 50 inning jump is enough i really dont want to see them push him to 70ish+

Top 25 prorated maybe, but probably not overall because of his innings limit. I'm thinking something like John Lackey '08, where he posted 3.75/1.23 ratios with 130 K in 165 IP. That was good for 38th among SP on Yahoo.

Rocinante2: you know

ah yes i forgot about the inning limit they will have on him. actually i hope they dont push that past 140 this year for fear of some effect next. i think Latos is pushing himself amongst the top 25 in the "dynasty" convo's however.

btw Buddy Black was on the Padres radio yesterday, they talked about Latos, said he has no innings cap, but if they see opportunities to take him out early or push him back a day they will do so. For example, his next scheduled start is now next Tues in Tampa, instead of Sunday, so with an off day mon they get an extra day off
