Make an offer for Longoria?

Postby dubstar » Sun May 23, 2010 12:51 pm

Is Sandoval suffering from a slump? or have they figured out how to pitch him? Was thinking of offering Sandoval and a starter for Longoria. Would that be a good move?

Sandoval is kept in the 18th round, Longoria is the 2nd.

I wouldn't take less than Sandoval and Greinke for Longoria. He won't come cheap.

I wouldn't. Greinke is your ace. Your hitting is serviceable for a 10 team league, and although Longoria's value increases due to xbh, Greinke's also does for QS. You need pitching more than hitting, I'd stay put.

Have offered Sandoval/Kershaw and Sandoval/Romero and he says he likes the offers and is going to think about it for a day or so. Hope that pans out.

I think those offers are quite good considering the keeper implications.

If I read it right you loose your 2nd round pick with Longoria, but only loose your 18th round pick with Sandoval. Keeping Sandoval with the 18th pick is an absolute steal.

That said. Sandoval/Romero is a trade I like for you. As far as Kershaw, depending on what pick you would use to keep Kershaw, I may not like this trade as much for you.

Yes that is correct as far as the rounds the players are kept.

As far as Kershaw, I won't keep him. We only keep 4, and if I keep a pitcher it will be greinke again in rd 11. Kershaw went in 6 or 7 this year. So that being said, I still think I win with longoria. Sandoval in the 18th is awesome though, I agree.

Okay. In that case I think I would be okay with Kershaw/Sandoval.

I can see how this trade will work for both teams.

That being said, if he doesn't take Kershaw/Sandoval, I wouldn't up the offer anymorel. Sandoval-Greinke is way too much to give up, given their great keeper status in your league.
