Tulo for CC?

Postby Thursday » Sun May 23, 2010 11:24 am

Pretty simple here, I trade my Tulowitski for his CC Sabathia. One-for-one. I'm leaning towards yes, since Tulo has been such a disappointment this year - what do you think, Cafe?

Here's my roster and league specs:

12-team, H2H, 6x6 league (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG., OPS. for hitters, and W, SV, K, Holds, ERA, WHIP for pitchers).

Keeper league, we keep 4:

C - Geovany Soto
1B - Ryan Howard
2B - Chase Utley
3B - Michael Young
SS - Troy Tulowitzki
OF - Shane Victorino
OF - Jacoby Ellsbury
OF - Brett Gardner
Util - Paul Konerko
B - Jay Bruce
B - Mike Aviles
B - Nick Markakis

SP - Dan Haren, Clayton Kershaw, Jonathan Sánchez, Clay Buchholz, Jhoulys Chacin, Derek Holland
RP - Ryan Franklin, David Aardsma, Jon Rauch, Kevin Gregg
DL - Brandon Webb, Brad Lidge

What do you think? Is the pitching upgrade worth it? Leave a link when helping.

Yeah - my SS replacement is Aviles - not the best, but Tulo hasn't done much of anything this year.

Actually, I'd hold off. CC hasn't been all that we expected either. And Tulo's overall numbers are brought down by a slow start. Are you really that big a believer in Aviles? I think dealing from a strength at SS and making it an absolute weakness isn't a very good option. Smart WW plays on the SP front won't give you CC numbers, but you could do really well for yourself. Is Brett Cecil out there? I love him right now as a nice K option against weaker teams.

Thanks for the help with mine.

I'd keep Tulo. All things considered, hitting is more valuable than pitching.

Help me?
