Well, it's certainly interesting, but I think we all need to know a little more before we can help you. If you can't keep A-Rod, who out of whom you will receive would you be able to keep. Also, are you playing for this year or next? If you're playing for this year, post your lineup so we can decide how well your offense can absorb such a huge loss.

If you want, post this information and reply to my thread viewtopic.php?t=412733 I'll then reevaluate the deal based on new information.

For now, I'll say it seems like a fair deal. Just realize that it's not that you should be afraid that A-Rod might "take off." He will take off; you just have to come to terms with that.

Before even reading above poster, I was going to ask if you're in contention or not. Even so, kind of a "meh" trade for me. You might be well-advised to hold ARod and possibly demand higher value for him. If you're not able to keep him, would someone else be able to keep him via trade? That's what you'd need to look at. Incomplete answer from me, I know - but there's a lot of moving pieces to this deal that we're not aware of.

I certainly wouldn't give up both ARod and Gonzalez. No way, no how.

I think I'd pass on this deal for now, with the stipulation that you may return to it. I think it's only a matter of when ARod goes off and you'll want his production as you're contending. Other than CC, nothing really impresses me in what you're getting in return, and frankly, I think we've seen the best days of CC. Wait and see what you might be able to get in a month.

Help me?
