currently, I have it arod, pujols and soriano as most do.
However, I am tempted to either put soriano first or second. since we use a 2b AND MI and it is 11 team, basically it seems to me like somewhaere around 15 2b will be taken. It seems also like realtive, the second and third tier ss and 3b are better than the seocnd absemen at that level. shoudl I perhaps reorder this soriano, arod pujols?
no...Arod will be eligible at 3B and SS this year, tough to beat that. What the guy in our draft did though was grab Boone on the snake back. That gave him a solid infield to draft around. we only have eight teams though, so I am not sure Boone would be the there for you if you had the top pick.
Indeed boone won't be there, in every 12 and 10 team draft i've done boones gone about 3 or 4 pick of the second round. Otherwise this would be awesome, draft arod then boone, the like rentaria, tejada (whatever good ss is left) and have the three weakest positons (minus catcher) completely set
As it were, i'd take arod, then pujols, than soriano, and if you get arod, take reyes later, to get the two position qualification thing goingon
If position eligibility is that critical, go with Soriano over Pujols next. You could potentially package Tejada/Renteria with Soriano next round. If you get A-Rod, Boone may be gone on the comeback. But I'm looking at a bounce-back from Kent after being hurt last year. If he slides to 4th/5th could be a nice steal.
