On its face, I like the trade. Braun is similar to Cabrera, but with a bit more speed (interesting note: did you know they're the same age?), and I don't think Homer Bailey is going anywhere anytime soon.

Braun is a great upgrade over Milledge, who's a part-time underperformer this year. Assuming you slide Morneau into 1B, I'd do the deal as long as there is a serviceable IF to pick up.

I like this trade as well. Braun should put up numbers similar to Cabrera but give you 15-20 more steals, which make him more valuable. Plus you have a serviceable replacement at 1B.

Bailey, even in a 20 team league does not have much value.

*Mkultra it seems like Cabrera has been around so much longer than Braun....didnt realize they were the same age.

i would do it... your OF would be a BEAST in the keeper league
you do have morneau to replace mcab, which is very good( he is doing just about the same if not better then mcab right now)

bailey is a waiver wire pitcher... nothing special either.. plays in a very hitter friendly ballpark so he probably hurts you most of the time then helps you

braun is THE BEST OF( you could argue matt kemp)
i think it would be a good trade for sure... justin upton + braun will anchor your OF barring injury

I would consider it if you had an IF you could get as a free agent.

Morneau to 1b, new IF. Braun replaces Fukudome.

If you got the IF, then go for it. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth it.

I'd want the Braun side. He's a more complete player. The only issue becomes, who replaces the IF spot when Morneau goes from IF to 1B for you.

Take it. You will trade 5-6 HR and 5-8 RBIs through the year but will gain 10-15 SBs and 7-10 Runs.

That's because Cabrera has been around so much longer than Braun. Cabrera debuted when he was 19 and Braun debuted when he was 23.
