help please W.H.I.R. greinke for felix deal and more

Postby roidrage08 » Fri May 21, 2010 2:56 am

I actually have two trade questions...one has been offered to me I would give up brennan boesch and get mark buerhle.

Another owner in my league has put king felix on the market so I am offering greinke, austin jackson, and alfonso soriano for felix, adam dunn, and josh hamilton.

My team before anything is official is like this...

1b-prince fielder
2b-placido palonco
3b-alberto callaspo
ss-derrick jeter
of-soriano
of-austin jackson
of-franklin guttierez
c-geovany soto
util-billy butler
util-carlos pena
dl-curtis granderson
bn-boesch
bn-david ortiz

Sp-greinke
sp-cole hamels
sp-john danks
sp-andy pettite
sp=porcello
sp-johnny cueto
sp-derrick lowe
rp-mariano rivera
rp-jose valverde
rp-jose contreras
rp-carlos villanueva

Should I make these moves? I am thinking I should w.h.ir.

No! Stay with Boesch. Buehrle is way to shaky.

greinke,austin jackson,and alfonso soriano for felix,adam dunn,and josh hamilton

Felix/Zack is even- both are playing not as expected but the rest of the deal is questionable cause - your lineup looks good (Carlos Pena doesn't and Lowe) and you need no change - Soriano is like a Phoenix- no one expected that! He was on my bust-list. Austin Jackson looks real nice, too.

so no need for a trade.
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply

i think you make the second deal easy. i'd be surprised if the other owner does

AJ is a 280 hitter rest of year. Soriano is a 280 hitter rest of year. so the biggest perceived difference - avg - is not as bad as it seems. Hamilton / dunn will go 285 / 260 most likely.

both AJ and Soriano have ridiculous BABIPs that will come down to earth and when they do they're gonna hit cold spells (like AJ is already doing).

you lose on the pitching side slightly, greinke is def better than felix, esp this year. BUT you get a 30 homer guy and a 40 homer guy without giving up ONE 30 homer guy. that's a steal. your lineup doesn't have a lot of power either so this seems good for you. i'd be surprised if it gets accepted.

help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=412575

I agree. It is rough for both Grienke and Felix they play on some bad offensive teams. Pretty even to me. How long does Soriano or Josh Hamilton stay healthy? But I think Dunn and Hamilton will help you much more then Soriano and AJ. my opinion thanks 4 yours
