Give up Votto for Oswalt, I think not. 100% WHIR as always

Postby HueyntheNews » Thu May 20, 2010 10:00 pm

So the guy who's 6-0 in my 10man H2H league, literally knows everything about baseball, I mean like I dont know how he does it wants me to trade Votto (who is fucking raking) for Roy Oswalt (with the 'Stros who couldn't rake a pile of leaves). He tried to sell me CJ wilson for votto earlier and I said that was equivalent to calling me retarded. So now he's back with Ozzie and I still dont like the trade, but I just wanna make sure I'm not pulling the wool over my eyes on vottos worth. I think he's top 1B. However, is oswalt is traded to a contender, I'd pretty much hit this in a heartbeat. So, thoughts? Here's his roster and mine: What do you think I should be able to get for votto if I should trade with him at all? (Sidenote: do you think its safe to use Moyer against Hou and FLA in his 2 start next week?)

I will always respond to your post if you leave a link

Nope. With Oswalt on a contender, it becames a questionable trade. But doesn't that depend on which contender.

Say, Rockies? Nope
Giants? Yes
AL teams? maybe

That is just a sample.

I wouldn't do it due to your points system. If it was a H2H cats league, then I would strongly consider it since Oswalt could help you in 3= cats.

Honestly I wouldn't trade Votto right now at all. He could easily keep stealing bases which is just a plus. That packed with his power and solid AVG make him a top 5 1b IMO. I realize not everyone will agree with that, but he is a stud. Don't trade him unless you are getting a top 5 SP
