I imagine in front of a gym might have been a worse place because then the muggers might actually have be caught.

They should have thrown caltrops over the assailants likely escape path. What kind of ninjas don't use caltrops? Especially slow ones, they have to compensate somehow.

I believe that was in Penrith which probably would have the lowest ninja-to-regular person ratio in Sydney. ;-7
