refering to wait for a stud that will be dropped - someday...and missing the opportunity to add a good player right away.
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply

I don't know a whole lot about Buchholz, Boston hasn't been doing so hot as of late though. He could potentially break out though like the previous poster said.

I would not use it on him. He has a decent record, but walks too many. His WHIP is high, and don't know if they count in your league, but he is only 50% on QS.

No we don't count QS just W, SV, K, HLD, ERA and WHIP. You are the first one who said not to use it so no I am slightly scratching my head a little. :-?

Just my feeling. He is very inconsistent, strikes out 10 in one game, then 10 in the next 4 combined. His last start was nice, but if you can hold off, give him one or two more and see if he has righted the ship.

Depends on what other 1b are available, but I would say yes. Will Smoak start for you? Will Buchholz? I agree with the poster who said to use your waiver, and don't save it for the day that may never come.

Help with mine:

The upside is still there though. The high waivers are usually used for rookies in my league and since most of the impact ones are spoken for I dont really see the need for the #1 waiver. Yeah its nice to have, but in a league like mine where impact guys are not dropped and trades can be hard to come by Buchholz has some value.

As for giving him a start or two...not an option I am almost positive he will get added one way or another come tomorrow.
