Mike Minor K Ratio...Silly

What are thoughts on this guy. Had a shaky first handful of games but struck out a ton.

Last 2 games lines look like.
6ip 1 hit 0 ER 3BB 8K
8ip 2 hits 0 ER 1BB 11K

Are we looking at top end of the rotation guy? Even in the rocky games in the beginning he was K'ing 10-12 guys.

He could be a number 1 pitcher if he reaches his ceiling, probably max out at solid 2 maybe push for ace status. But in Atlanta I see him being a number 3 or 4 behind Hanson, Teheran and maybe Jurrjens. If they can keep those pitchers on the team that could be an amazing rotation in a few years.

A polished college pitcher like Minor should be carving up low A hitters. Many, including me, think his stuff isn't good enough to be more than a back of the rotation guy and there's not much projection left on him. The Braves obvouusly disagree since they spent a top 15 pick on him.

wouldn't necessarily call Double A low a ball. But I have heard that argument of him not having good stuff. But he added 3-5 mph on his fastball and is K'ing a ton. I guess we will see.
