yes. dropping Stanton. He's a prospect but will have lower average stats as your other guys.
lots of Posada-questions today. As I mentioned in some other posts I roll with the Posada replacement Cervelli. He is a nice fit to the Yankees lineup. The other option is C.Snyder. I own Barajas myself in one league and I'm not that happy with him- always DTD with small issues- very annoying (yesterday it was his stomach - too much Burritos).
news: Posada will only miss 2-3 weeks
It would be nice to know what you did with our advice - so please write a short reply
I think you should go Snyder or Cervelli, who are much better than the other options you listed (and I'd rank those Barajas, Clement, Buck). I'd take a flier on Cervelli to see how he hits, and if he doesn't start off hot you can always drop him for Snyder.
I would definitely drop Carmona; he's been just as bad as last year, but instead of combining bad skills with an unlucky BABIP (like in 2009), he's combining the same bad skills with a very lucky BABIP (.233 so far this year). Judging by the talent on your team, this league isn't deep enough to have someone like Carmona on your roster.
If for some reason you want / have to drop a bat, drop Stanton. While he's got a lot of power, he is striking out a bunch in the minors. That problem will only be magnified when he gets called up, like it was for other recent prospects with K problems (Maybin is one example). I don't think he'll contribute much to your team this year given the strength of your offense. (If you're dropping Stanton, please drop Carmona anyway and pick up a better pitcher!)
You pretty much have to drop Stanton since he's not doing anything for you right now in the minors. There is a good possibility he doesn't get called up until Aug/Sept, so you need to let him go to fill the need now. I agree to grab Cervelli and see how he does as most of those C options will still be there if he doesn't work out. If you don't go Cervelli, Snyder is definitely the next pick, after that I'd put them in this order - Buck, Barajas, Clement.
