Reyes and Greinke for Hanley and Strasburg?

Postby jarobert » Thu May 20, 2010 6:33 am

Thinking of making this offer. (I'd be giving the Reyes / Greinke side)

Is it not enough? Too much? Just right?

Strasburg could be removed.

What kind of league? Re-draft, then no. Keeper/dynasty, then yeah, make the trade.

Its a redraft. So you think I'm giving too much? I was thinking its not enough with Reyes sucking so bad.

I don't think the other guy will go for it. Reyes has been really bad. I'm not a Reyes fan, though.

Offer it and see what he says, you never know if he'll take it.

I was thinking more from an angle of how much use will you actually get out of Strasburg, if it's a redraft league. I haven't heard specifics lately about when he's going to get called up. Greinke will maybe not get you as many wins as one would like pitching for KC, but his numbers otherwise are great. I'd want to keep Greinke and roll with him for this year over Strasburg.

But as someone else suggested, if this is just a deal you're thinking about but haven't been approached about, I doubt the other manager will go for it anyway. Reyes isn't someone I'm terribly fired up about for this year either.

Reyes is pretty awful, I don't think the owner would go for it. Like a previous poster mentioned, you could try the tacit of "greinke will give you more time during the season" BUT im not sure that will work.
