Team in need of Professional help!! WHIR 100%

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Wed May 19, 2010 2:02 pm

Hey guys! Well I am not use to being the inconsistent team in my league, but this year has been an up and down roller coaster thus far. I am seeking advice on how to make my team more consistent, improve the overall team, and any players I should target and players I should be looking to deal. Any help would be appreciated and I will definitely find the time throughout the day to help anyone who needs it. My league is 12 teams H2H (5x5; OBP replaces AVG) we keep 3 players per year. Sadly, I am the commissioner and have never won my own league, so that's my goal this year (basic positions with 2 utility spots and 2 DL spots)

Catcher - K. Susuki
1B - M Cabrera, Billy Butler
2B - B Phillips, R Theriot
3B - I Stewart
SS - T Tulowitzki, S Drew
OF - J Upton, H Pence, J Damon, J Bruce

SP - Z Greinke, J Lester, T Hanson, J Garcia, J Sanchez, F Liriano
RP - J Broxton, K Wood
DL - E Bedard, B Webb, B Anderson

You cant deny your teams got talent, and your staff is unreal. I would attempt to package maybe phillips and stewart for someone like sandoval or zimmerman maybe, or possibly toss in butler there as a throw in. It seems upton, miggy, and proably hanson would be your keepers. I love your young team long term, but if u wanna win now you gotta get a big name bat. Shop some 2 for 1s around and try and get a big bat.

You need to go out and get a power bat. You've got plenty of starting pitching, so maybe offer one of them for Morneau or another power guy.

See the problem is with my league, no one wants to do 2 for 1. Also, they all think I am looking to screw them, which isn't correct, I just propose a lower tier trade to begin with, then hope they counter/or we find a middle ground. I think another top OF, 2B, or 3B is what I need...can any of you provide me with a couple? I also fall on my face at the end of the year, so I am looking for guys who are 2nd half performers . I will be replying to all links in the next hour or so.
