New to the board. A couple of questions....

It's good to finally contribute here. I've certainly lurked here enough in the past two years. lol.

I'm currently tied for first in a standard 5x5 10 team Yahjoo league. Here's the team:

C- Suzuki
1B - Butler
2B - Phillips
SS - Rollins
3B - Longoria
OF - Crawford, McCutcheon, Bruce
UT - Panda, G Jones
BN - Aviles

SP - Gallardo, Hanson, Price, Liriano, Cueto, Carmona, Wells, Wade Davis
RP - Soria, Valverde, Soriano, Dotel
DL - Webb

Players picked up so far on waivers this year: Suzuki, Bruce, G Jones, Aviles, Dotel, Cueto, Carmona

Our league has a three player Add maximum per week so nothing can be done until Monday. The plan is to pick up Montero and stash him on the DL (two allowed in our league) as a litle insurance for Suzuki and then drop a pitcher to pick up Stanton. I have a feeling he gets called up around the same time Weiters was last year (June 1). Dotel seems the obvious choice, however my main competition to this point has five closers and a cheap save or two for Dotel a week may not be such a bad idea to keep.

I'm also looking to buy the brat Hanley low if I can. My team lacks HR and RBI numbers so far. I figure his ego will either make him conform to play or make life in SoFla so bad that he gets traded to a big money team with a better lineup around him. Anyway, here's what I proposed:

I give: Rollins/Gallardo
I get: Hanley/Niemann

Thanks in advance and WHIR when I can.

It's not a bad offer but if I got that offer I don't know how it would make me feel. HanRam was a top 2 pick in the draft and to give him up for a 3rd and 6th rounder (on average in Yahoo anyway)

Im a Hamram owner myself and though that deal isnt bad in terms of value, i wouldnt do that if it was proposed to me. When your trying to acquire a 1st rounder, or a 2nd overall player, you have to offer more value then your getting in return. A deal would have to have rollins in it obviously, and two pitcher packaged like hanson and liriano, or gallardo liriano would be a sufficient offer to someone in need of sp help. You might have to add mroe to both sides to add more value, but you definately will lose in terms of value when trying to get hamram from a respectable owner.

HELP WITH MINE?

;-D

Thanks guys. The trade proposal is still out there. I like Rollins and may not want to part with more than one of my aces. The worst thing he can do is reject, I'd be interested to see his counter.
