i made an offer for his j. garcia and he countered with andrus for garcia. my batting is above average in the league and pitching is below. ian desmond is available on the waiver to replace andrus. thanks.
got another offer for any of the 3: zambrano, j. sanchez or matusz packaged with scutaro for elvis. an elbow issue at the moment for scutaro, but which pitcher to go with? or is j. garcia the deal to stick with?
my offense: 41 out of a possible 54 points and pitching is 23 out of 54. currently in 5th and 20 points behind.
i need help in era, whip and wins (k's are fine and saves are low)
my current starters are: buerhle (struggling) hanson (rocked today but fine overall) johnson (ace) nolasco (should be fine) fister (good numbers, but bad seattle offense)
bench: floyd (wondering if he can turn it around) vargas (just added, but now 2 seattle pitchers)
offers: jamie garcia for elvis andrus
any of these pitchers plus scutaro (ian desmond still available) for elvis: zambrano jonathon sanchez
Garcia for Andrus is ok, but still feel you should be able to get a bit more in return for him. I wouldn't overspend on Garcia as he has only had 7 starts this year and still needs to go around the circuit a few more times before I give up a young, on his way to being top 5 SS Elvis.
I dont know about this one, I'm pretty high on andrus, I think he'll even out to be a top 5 scoring SS, maybe even ahead of guys like reyes. I wouldnt do this. However, you do need pitching help. Badly. Scutaro, as awesome as he was last year, isnt in the same position to hit or quality even on the sox. I dont think he's that much of an upgrade from desmond. I would suggest you try to trade andrus (and maybe some junk player) for John O Sanchez and Garcia, they're young, they've got pretty stats, and they'd help your team. Good luck
