I'm in a 5 x 5 roto league with an auction draft and 4 keepers. My team has been terrible so far, but my starting pitching has been the worst. I desperately need more strikeouts. A fellow owner needs power and he's interested in Uggla. My team is mostly middle of the road in power categories and Uggla leads my team in HR right now.
Would you do Uggla for James Shields straight up? Or do you think I should be getting more back for him? I could try to make this a 2-for-2.
I just picked up Orlando Hudson so I could slide him into the 2B slot, and I have Schumaker as a backup. This owner would also be willing to trade John Danks, but I'd rather have Shields for his strikeouts.
Post a link to your thread and I'll help in return. Thanks!

It's tough to let go of Uggla since you're relying so heavily on him for HRs, but I'm a huge fan of Shields. I'd grab Shields for Uggla and hopefully you can find some pop on the waiver wire if you end up struggling in that department after the trade. Thanks for the help on mine.
do it, shields is a stud...this year is comeback time
actually someone is offering boby abreu for him in my league, would you do it to replace slumping quentin, considering that josh johsnon, hammels, lester, hughes, nieman, buchholtz and johtan sanchez are still left in the squad?
Tough call but if you have O-Dawg you should be okay. You wont miss Uggla's average but will the rest. Was trying to think of a 2 for 2 where he gets a lesser SP and you a lesser 2B or IF but prob wont work here
Thanks for your help with mine... Yup so it... ODog is great in that lineup and should give you a few stats.. Uggla has been playing over his head so far... His avg will fall soon and he will go on a super long cold streak... that will hurt... Shields is pitching for an elite team so wins and Ks are yours!
I would do this. Shields is very solid, gets plenty Ks, rarely has a really bad day, and plays on a winning team. Nothing there not to like, and your pitching staff needs the help.
