I have both of these guys on my team. Currently being bench because of poor play. How much longer do I hold onto them until I release them? I just picked up Ty Willingham and released David Freese instead of Aaron Hill. Hiroki Kuroda is available and while he is not going to solve all of my pitching problems he will be a better pitcher right now than Beckett.

To get better help you need to provide a bit more information about your team and league. In general terms, at this point in the season both Hill and Beckett should be held.

I think Beckett will be okay. His velocity was the best I have seen in a long while during his last outing and he was looking great for the first 4 or so innings before he crumbled. I would have a lot more confidence if his next start which is tomorrow wasn't coming against the Yankees again but you gotta hold onto him for sure.
