Big trade: Morneau/Kemp for HanRam/Cano/BJUpton

Postby chowder » Mon May 17, 2010 9:40 pm

Trade is I give Morneau/MKemp for his HanRam/Cano/BJUpton. This is a 10 team h2h points league (4pts for homer, 3 for triple, 2 for double, 1 for single, r, rbi, bb and no deduction for avg or k's) (10pts for W, -5 for L, 7pt for save, 1 pt per strikeout and IP, -1 per ER). Had a lot of offers on Morneau lately...SS and 2B are two of my weaker spots due to drafting Roberts with 3rd OF/UT spot being 3rd weakest. I've been riding high with MKemp to start the year...but this would help my IF (especially with Cabrera possibly missing time).

My team:
C: RMartin
1B: Fielder
2B: Polanco
3B: Reynolds
SS: A.Cabrera
IF: Morneau
OF: Bay, MKemp, Choo
UT: Laroche
Bench: Hawpe, Roberts (IR)

SP (4 starters per week): Hamels, Wainwright, Baker, Nolasco
RP: (2 per week): Bell, Valverde
Bench: Garcia, BWilson, Porcello, Blanton, Lilly, Danks, Latos

His team:
C: Barajas
1B: Baker
2B: Cano
3B: Young
SS: HanRam
IF: A. Gonzalez
OF: Upton, Bruce, C.YOung
UT: A.Jones
Bench: Kendrick, Cruz, Sandoval, Francoeur, Ellsbury (IR), Olivo

SP (4 starters per week): Gallardo, Garza, L.Hernandez, correia,
RP:(2 starters per week): Franklin, Clippard
Bench: Nunez, Niese, Cecil

I really like this trade for you. I would definitely pull the trigger, especially since you have Prince to makeup for losing Morneau.

I wish I was you right now. I love this trade. You have the superior 1b with prince, you get a BEYOND epic upgrade at SS and 2B and you get your OF loss replaced with BJ who is completely respectable. Do it and dont look back. You just won at Fantasy. Congrats!

The only part of the trade I don't like for you is recieving BJ Upton, but HanRam and Cano make up for that fact. Plus you can always deal BlowJob Upton away at a later date./

Got to do this especially since you already have Fielder. Morneau is playing out of his mind lately but Hanley is the best SS in baseball, Cano has slowed down a little bit lately but is still a monster and best of all he plays another thin position in 2B. Upton may eventually turn it on he's a pretty big question mark but he still is managing to provide SB's. I like this trade for you a lot.

Even more so now that Asdrubal will be out a significant amount of time.

+1

I agree with what has been said in this post and in the other posts also in favor of this trade for you.

You need to accept this trade ASAP before the other manager changes his mind.
This is an excellent trade for you.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Just echoing everyone else. I like the trade for you. I don't like Upton at all, but you are receiving an epic upgrade at 2 shallow spots.

Go for it and never look back.
