Utley for his Lincecum? WHIR

DO I trade my Utley for his Lincecum?

This would allow me to trade one of my other SPs like a Cain or Garza for a solid 2B replacement. Essntially make my rotation virtually unbeatable...

I would stay put. I love Lincecum, but you don't need him, actually you have no needs on your team at all. Which makes me think maybe just do it for kicks. I hate sitting still with my teams even in first and sometimes just making moves to set up moves is great because your end team might be best.

SO what I am saying is I don't like the trade, but if it sets you up for a good following move where you end up with Lincecum and a solid 2b replacement, I like it.

Im really failing to see how you managed to build a team like that in a 12 team league....

Pujols, A-Rod, Utley, Crawford?

and

Halladay and Grienke?

Jeez either your league is really bad at drafting, or your league does a lot of really bad trades.

But yeah, I guess keep Utley, I dont see how your rotation could possibly lose ever.

Gosh.. If you truly feel that you would be able to trade one of your "Lower-level" SPs for a solid 2B replacement, then do it.

But then again: If it isn't broken, don't fix it. This team looks like a runaway champion as it is. Why make it a process for yourself?

Does Lincecum's contract run out after this year? If yes, then stand pat. If not and you get to keep him a couple more years or even just next year then I would think I would do it. Then try and buy low on a guy like Aaron Hill who will return to 09 form, coming off a nagging hammy that slowed his start of the season.

I have to go with the consensus. Don't do it. Your team is ridiculously good. Especially for a 12 team league. Utley's the best player at a weak position. Your rotation is already killer. IF for some reason you did want to deal Utley, I think you could get more than Lincecum for him. However, I tend to value batters more than pitchers so I could be wrong.

Completely, you must play in a 5 man league.
Utley is the best 2nd baseman out there. Right now he's playing under his level and he'll be back swatting the longball soon enough. You have easily the best rotation ever. In the history of time. You dont need lincecum, utley would leave a big hole in your lineup. if anything try to move cain for a top OF to replace that pile of shit sizemore.

Thoughts?

Absolutely not. Why go for Timmy when you already have Halladay and Sabathia? You don't need him at all.
