liriano for a closer

Postby pepperoncino » Mon May 17, 2010 11:41 am

i've gotta helluva starting pitching staff (ubaldo, hanson, gallardo, liriano, cain, latos...), and need a strong closer, so i'm thinking of dangling liriano.

who to target? i could get rauch... is liriano too much for him?

I think Liriano is more valuable than just about any closer. That being said I doubt you can get a top tier closer for him unless the other guy is a Liriano fan, or needs pitching badly and has extra closers.

My thinking on Liriano is that whoever owns him is likely the biggest believer so it is next to impossible to get the value you see in him back.
