12 team 5x5 roto keeper league. I am currently in 2nd place (20 points behind first place). MY biggest weakness is in runs, average and K's. Kubel just was dropped and hit the waivers. I have a good chance of claiming him off waivers. His upside for the season is huge. If I go after Kubel who would you drop? Jackson? but I need the runs. Also, Granderson is expected back in two weeks, so I will have to make room for him also. Is it worth the waiver? Who would you drop once Granderson comes back?

Nice team. I would -- and I am probably in the minority here, so look for a few more thoughts on this -- but I would consider dumping Quentin for Kubel and then posting again in a few weeks when Granderson is due to return. I just think Quentin is much less a sure thing than Kubel, and I like the supporting cast in Minn. This, too, is from a guy who dealt Kubel recently after getting sick of his slump, so you know I am not being biased in this advice.
so quentin was a keeper. our draft rules are odd, but he was my 22nd pick in the draft. if he was to pull it together this season and i decided to keep him for next season he would be a keeper in the 20th round.

If not quentin, I would consider dumping Clement unless you have long term intentions with him and start 2 catchers... otherwise, maybe dump Desmond if you can stomach throwing Lopez out there at 2B for a while.
