Dropping Young, grab who?

Postby guyincognito » Mon May 17, 2010 11:05 am

With E.Young hitting the DL, out for a few months, he is useless to me this year as I don't have a place to stash him with the DL and minor league spots already filled. So I'm dumping him, but who should I pick up from FA?

D.Holland, G.Gonzalez, C.Ross, C.Hart, A.Rowand, G.Sanchez, O.Hudson, C.Guzman, J.Gomes, S.Rolen, J.Buck, Hafner, Thome, R.Davis, F.Lewis

and should I drop Putz or Saito for any of the following holds guys?: Hanrahan, Kuo, Masset
Neither Putz nor Saito have been getting me any holds. I get that either could be next in line for saves, but until that happens they are just taking up space (although Saito is my handcuff for Wagner, not that he's getting all that many save ops.)

I'm open to any and all suggestions! Thanks in advance and leave a link, WHIR.

Hart, Davis or Holland for me.

Depends on your needs.

If you need pure speed, Davis is your guy, he should steal 60ish.
If you need a quality bat, Hart is a 20/20 threat (starting to hit the ball).
If you need an arm, Holland could be the real deal.

Derek Holland is who I would get. Unless you need SB, in that case, I'd get Rajai Davis.

I grabbed holland. A multi-pitch guy who has decent command as a young player AND has RP eligibility? Sign me up. He could be a real asset down the line.

Thoughts?
