Verlander/Smoak for Tex/Meche Please Help! post urs 2

I've been really battling with this deal.

My other pitchers are Beckett, Marcum, Danks, Wilson, Holland, Pineiro, Kazmir, Gregg, Brett Anderson, Simon, Bergeson.

The thing is we start 9 pitchers. It can be any mix of starters and relievers. That has me wanting to keep Verlander and not ever have to worry about pitching during the year. Something I always end up having to do by trading for hitting.

My hitting has been inconsistent, but I have.

1B Miggy
2B Figgins
3B Young
U Pena
Inf Smoak
C Napoli
OF Guttierez
OF Kubel
OF Snider
OF Cust
DL Granderson

There's no penalty for crap AVG, or K's. Hence me even willing to roster Cust.

So, I'm 5-1 with my team hitting like crap overall. I'm now thinking that waiting it out, my hitting will come around and my pitching will remain solid.

And I just have a good feeling about Smoak. I think Ver for Tex straight up is a good deal. I think Smoak ss worth more than just a throw-in. And I've been down the road with Meche. But, he won't do this deal straight up, or with another pitcher involved

What's the format in this league? I think you kill your pitching depth in this deal. I LOVE Tex but not sure you can afford to give up your best SP.
