I was offered Hunter Pence, Jason Bartlett, and Nick Swisher for Prince Fielder and Nick Markakis. Should I take this trade?
I was thinking about counter offering for Heyward/Bartlett/Pence for Fielder/Markakis. Would that be a better trade?

Wouldn't do either of those deals.
Even with your need at SS, Bartlett is not the answer and your losing wayyyyyy too much value not even getting anything respectable to Prince's value.

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...

What about Heyward/Swisher/Bartlett for Markakis/Fielder?

You are def giving up the best players in all of those deals. You should be getting back much much more in return.

You should be getting much more in return for Fielder. He's a top 7 player. His time to buy low has about passed as he's been starting to turn it on as of late. He started out the same way last year so don't let his slow start get you thinking he's going to have a down year.
Please help with my post

What if I countered just Markakis/Escobar for Bartlett/Heyward? Markakis hasn't really done much for me, Victorino and Byrd have been carrying my outfield. This is a chance for me to upgrade at shortstop without losing much at OF. Thoughts?
