I like it for you very much. Hughes' numbers are good, but unsustainable. There's also the problem of his possible innings limit, while Timmy's good for 200 innings of dominant ball. The difference between Morneau and Howard is close enough where this is a big win for you.

A big yes for this one! You get a decline in power but a a major upgrade in pitching getting in my opinion the best pitcher is baseball. Pull the trigger without hesitation.

Thanks for the reply.
The original offer was for his Morneau, Johan Santana, and Carlos Quentin for my Howard, Hughes, and Chad Billingsley.

His original offer wasn't awful, but it is a clear advantage for his side. I'd stay away from that.
I also don't think swapping Greinke for Hughes would be a great idea either, as it would make the trade a pretty lateral move for both teams, with you losing slightly there, too. I do like the idea of adding in Bills to Howard/Hughes (assuming he doesn't do the original trade), but I'd at least try to get him to give a 3rd player as well. No one too ridiculous, but a somewhat decent player along with Morneau and Lincecum would make the trade very nice for you...

Awesome answer. Thanks. I'll try to work the Hughes / Billingsley angle.
