Original thought was for Longoria. People here convinced me (on this post) not to make the offer. I will if he comes back with a lesser pitcher than David Price. I ended up offering a pitcher PLUS Kendry Morales for Evan Longoria. Have not heard back. What about this offer to a different team?
Thinking of making this offer in a 6 team AL Only:
GIVE David Price Kendry Morales Brandon Morrow
GET Brian Fuentes Alex Rodriguez Kevin Millwood
I have a ton of excess pitching, and I need offense.
My 3b is Mark Teahen, but I have a 1b at both CR and UT, so I'd be replacing Morales with a FA (Fred Lewis?), while Rodriguez replaces Teahen.
For his team, he has a 3b as his CR, so Morales slides straight into A-Rod's slot without anything else.
Is this a fair trade? Am I giving up too much? Am I offering too little?

I wouldn't do the AROD one either. Yes you are getting a great hitter but Morlaes will be close in numbers - 5 HR less, 10-15 less RBI and similar BA. Not gaining enough for what you are giving up.
How deep is your pitching? If giving up Price doesn't do any damage to your numbers (hard to believe, unless you have all of Sabathia, Greinke, Verlander, etc.), then do it. Just how 'excess' is your excess? If not, and you will take a decent hit, then don't do it. Longoria or A-Rod for Morales, if it can be boiled down to that depending on your pitching, IS something to go for. You do have to be aware of the guy your trading with, too, though, and where he is in the standings in relation to you.
